Douglas Adams delivers another hilarious science fiction satire in his sequel to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Restaurant starts off just shortly after the startlingly abrupt end to Hitchhiker and sees the return of all our favorite characters including Arthur Dent (clueless human), Ford Prefect (intersteller hitchhiker and partygoer), Zaphod Beeblebrox (ex-President of the Universe and generally cool dude), Trillian (Zaphod’s Earth-born girlfriend), and Marvin (the miserable robot).

In Restaurant, Zaphod unwittingly continues his quest to find true ruler of the Universe aboard his stolen space ship, the Heart of Gold, while taking part in a number of highly exciting and ridiculous adventures that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and falling onto the floor laughing.

Restaurant is another gem of complete hilarity and another quick read. The novel is fantastically witty, ironic and random. It has all the right ingredients for success: space ships, time travel, manically depressed robots, and tons of humor!
